RT @MLB: Not only is Sal Stewart the first player to 100 RBI, but he is the first rookie with a 100-RBI season since Pet Via @Reds on X

What happened: Sal Stewart became the first rookie with a 100-RBI season since Pete Alonso in 2019. The milestone came during Stewart's first full major league season.

Why it matters: Reaching triple digits before every veteran puts Stewart's rookie run production in rare company. It also strengthens his statistical case in the National League rookie race.

By the numbers: Stewart has a .261 average, 28 home runs and 100 RBI. Among qualified NL rookies, he ranks first in homers and RBI and seventh in batting average.

What to watch: Stewart's remaining games will determine how far he extends the major league RBI lead and his final place among modern rookie run producers.
