What happened: Sal Stewart has piled up 59 RBIs and 11 stolen bases in his rookie season. Per Elias Sports, the only other rookies to reach at least 50 RBIs and 10 or more steals before July are Hall of Famers, led by Carlos Beltran, who is set to be enshrined in Cooperstown later this month.

Why it matters: That combination of run production and speed this early puts a first-year hitter in rare historical territory and fuels a Rookie of the Year case. Sharing a statistical line with a Cooperstown-bound name underscores how seldom power and base-running arrive together in a debut season.

What to watch: Whether Stewart holds the run-production-and-speed pace through the second half.
