What happened: Janelle Salaun found her shooting touch for the Golden State Valkyries, hitting five 3-pointers and counting during their 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup game streamed on Prime Video. The WNBA highlighted the run as Salaun became a focal point of Golden State’s offense from beyond the arc.

Why it matters: The shooting burst matters because Commissioner’s Cup games count toward both the in-season tournament and the regular-season table. It also extends a recent perimeter surge for Janelle Salaun after Golden State entered the matchup coming off a franchise-record 18 made threes earlier in the week.

What to watch: Watch whether Salaun keeps closing possessions as Golden State moves through Cup play. Her minutes and shot volume will signal whether this is a one-game heater or a larger rotation shift.
