What happened: San Francisco is working the phones for wide receiver additions ahead of the trade deadline. A framework with Minnesota to reacquire Jauan Jennings collapsed when Jennings rejected the move. The front office has since evaluated alternatives, including Rashod Bateman, Elic Ayomanor, and Malik Washington.

Why it matters: Injuries across the perimeter have thinned San Francisco's receiving depth, increasing pressure to secure reliable targets. Bateman offers proven separation skills under contract, while Ayomanor and Washington provide young alternatives as selling clubs assess their rosters.

What to watch: San Francisco will continue working the market as sellers finalize their plans before the deadline.
