What happened: Saniya Rivers has officially crossed 500 career points, becoming the fifth member of her rookie class to reach the milestone. The guard joins a small group from her draft cohort to climb past the 500-point threshold this early.

Why it matters: Reaching 500 career points marks a steady-production benchmark for a young guard and places Rivers among the more productive scorers to emerge from her class. Sustained output at this stage is a leading indicator of an expanding role and long-term value.

What to watch: Watch whether Rivers keeps climbing the scoring ranks among her draft class as the 2026 regular season continues and her usage grows.
