What happened: Arnold cleared waivers July 6 after Detroit released the 2024 first-round pick. He previously visited Houston for a physical and remains eligible to sign after posting $1 million bond.

Why it matters: Third-round pick Julian Neal remains sidelined by a leg injury, though Mike Macdonald said he is not expected to be out long-term. Prosecutors allege Arnold directed associates in the kidnapping and armed robbery of three men in February; Arnold denies the allegations.

What to watch: Neal’s return to practice and Seattle’s next move at cornerback will shape the depth chart before the preseason opener against Dallas.
