Bud Clark kept a positive attitude after his injury 🙏 The new episode of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the @Seahawks Via @NFL on X

What happened: Bud Clark broke his ankle on Seattle's first defensive snap in Sunday's 19-16 preseason loss. He maintained a positive attitude afterward.

Why it matters: The timing of the move makes Clark ineligible to return for Seattle during the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement. Seattle loses a second-round pick who was expected to contribute immediately.

By the numbers: Clark was selected 64th overall in the 2026 NFL draft and played one defensive snap before the injury.

What to watch: Seattle's remaining roster moves will show how it addresses its safety depth before Week 1 on Sept. 13.
