What happened: Sean Burke turned in a strong performance to conclude the American League Division Series. The right-hander kept Chicago competitive against Cleveland, surrendering just a single home run to José Ramírez before the club was ultimately eliminated.

Why it matters: The effort capped a high-stakes assignment as Sean Burke navigated a win-or-go-home scenario. While he executed effectively on the mound, the offense failed to provide support, striking out 21 times in the defeat.

What to watch: The front office moves into the winter needing to address a lineup that faltered heavily in October.
