What happened: Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton has resumed play-calling duties. The move shifts the responsibility away from offensive coordinator Davis Webb, who handled the role for the first time in Denver earlier this season.

Why it matters: The coaching adjustment follows a period of slow offensive starts for Denver. Rex Ryan previously criticized Payton's decision to delegate the responsibilities, and the team is now reverting to its head coach to lead the offensive flow.

What to watch: Payton's return to play-calling will be tested as the Broncos seek a more effective opening script in their next game.
