What happened: Sean Payton is slated to appear on the ManningCast during Monday Night Football, with the Atlanta Falcons visiting the New Orleans Saints on ESPN2. The alternate broadcast is hosted by Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.

Why it matters: The booking gives the Denver Broncos' coach a national TV slot on one of the NFL's standalone broadcast windows. It also pulls Denver into the conversation around a Falcons-Saints game that would otherwise sit outside the Broncos' weekly orbit.

What to watch: Watch for ESPN2 to lock in when Payton will join the broadcast as Falcons-Saints draws closer.
