What happened: The Ottawa Senators welcome the San Jose Sharks to Canadian Tire Centre for a scheduled regular-season matchup. The contest marks the Sharks' only appearance in Ottawa this season and concludes a back-to-back stretch for the Senators.

Why it matters: Ottawa is seeking maximum points across consecutive nights on its regular-season slate. Because San Jose visits the Canadian capital only once during the campaign, this interconference meeting is the sole home matchup for the Senators against the Sharks.

What to watch: The Senators and Sharks will finalize their game-night lineups and starting goaltenders ahead of puck drop at Canadian Tire Centre.
