What happened: Shedeur Sanders took the initial first-team repetitions during 11-on-11 and situational drills as the Cleveland Browns opened mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. The second-year quarterback led the offense through a situational second-and-long series during the day's primary installation period.

Why it matters: The rep distribution marks a significant development in the quarterback race after veteran teammates handled most primary work during earlier spring sessions. Sanders continues to gain momentum following his record-breaking $17.7 million licensing deal and a strong finish to the 2025 campaign.

What to watch: The team is expected to rotate first-team snaps through the remainder of the week before breaking until training camp in late July.
