What happened: Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton and Ivica Zubac worked in tandem during their Oct. 16 NBA preseason matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Haliburton attacked the rim off the dribble and facilitated in the half court alongside Siakam and Zubac.

Why it matters: Building live two-man and three-man chemistry with Zubac in the middle gives Haliburton and Siakam an established interior partner entering the 2026-27 campaign. For the Milwaukee Bucks, the preseason contest served as a late evaluation opportunity before final roster cuts.

By the numbers: Haliburton posted 17 points and 6 assists in the first half against the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 16, pairing with Siakam for 39 combined first-half points. Haliburton, Siakam and Zubac all entered the 2026-27 preseason ranked on the Sept. 24 ESPN Top 100 list.

What to watch: NBA franchises face Monday's roster cutdown deadline before the 2026-27 regular season tips off Tuesday, followed by the start of NBA Cup play on Oct. 30.
