What happened: Arturs Silovs is set to start in goal for Pittsburgh in its scheduled home game tonight. The Penguins also said the Season Saves program is back, with Giant Eagle pledging a donation to PghFoodBank for every home save by a Penguins goalie.

Why it matters: The assignment gives Pittsburgh an early preseason look at Arturs Silovs in front of the home crowd. It also reconnects game-night save totals to a food-bank fundraising effort tied to the Penguins' home schedule.

What to watch: Warmups and the final lineup will show who slots in behind Silovs. The night's save total will also open this season's donation count.
