What happened: Sophie Cunningham enters the open market this offseason with Indiana between a team president and a general manager. She said she wants the Fever to land the right leaders for the next phase.

Why it matters: Her status shapes Indiana's backcourt options for 2027 and how much room the roster has to retain contributors. The front-office hires will set that negotiating timeline and the franchise direction.

What to watch: Indiana's search process comes first, then Cunningham's contract decision ahead of the 2027 season.
