What happened: South Alabama's Keenan Phillips returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. He accelerated through the opposing coverage unit to complete the scoring play.

Why it matters: An end-to-end return on special teams immediately alters the momentum of a contest. Scoring directly from a kickoff eliminates the need for an offensive drive and shifts pressure onto the opponent.

What to watch: South Alabama will attempt to leverage this special teams execution in upcoming situations.
