What happened: The Los Angeles Sparks have parted ways with general manager Raegan Pebley, effective immediately. Pebley had held the GM post since January 2024.

Why it matters: The move lands in the middle of an active roster stretch for Los Angeles, which has reshuffled its roster in recent weeks with the signings of Alissa Pili and Kate Martin and the benching of Skylar Diggins. A front-office change adds uncertainty to how those decisions get built on for the rest of the season.

By the numbers: Pebley's tenure ran roughly two and a half years, from January 2024 to July 2026.

What to watch: General manager duties will be shared by Zach Knowlton and Nate Nielsen going forward, per the team's statement.
