What happened: The 27-year-old moves to Sweden after playing for Syracuse and Grand Rapids during one season in North America. His ERC Ingolstadt contract, which ran through 2027, was dissolved.

Why it matters: The deal fills the roster opening created when Teemu Turunen left in July for personal reasons. Stachowiak can play wing or center as Örebro prepares for the 2026-27 SHL season.

By the numbers: Stachowiak recorded 13 goals and 22 assists across 56 AHL regular-season and playoff games in 2025-26.

What to watch: His role at center or wing will come into focus when Örebro opens its SHL schedule.
