What happened: The Dallas Stars placed defenseman Kyle Capobianco on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 27. Per Brian Rea, Capobianco is having an MRI today and will be out for at least a week.

Why it matters: The retroactive date starts the injury-reserve clock from Oct. 27. Per Rea, the Stars will have to 'do some shuffling' and call up a defenseman from the AHL.
