What happened: Dylan Stewart rejoined South Carolina for its Tuesday morning team meeting and practiced later that day. Head coach Shane Beamer said his status for Saturday's 12:45 p.m. ET game at Florida remains undetermined and will be decided through the week. Stewart missed the 35-34 overtime loss to Kentucky on Oct. 3 while serving a one-game SEC suspension for throwing a punch at Alabama, following his indefinite suspension by Beamer.

Why it matters: South Carolina is 2-3 and 0-3 in the SEC heading to Gainesville against a 4-1 ranked Florida team. Beamer said Stewart earned a return to team activities after open conversations, leaving the Florida decision with him now that the conference penalty is served.

By the numbers: South Carolina: 2-3, 0-3 SEC; Florida: 4-1. Stewart missed the first two games with a back injury, debuted Sept. 19 against Mississippi State, and logged one tackle and one tackle for loss in two games before the suspension.

What to watch: Stewart's practice participation through the week determines availability. Kickoff in Gainesville is Saturday at 12:45 p.m. ET.
