A little look back at our overseas adventures at the 2026 FIBA World Cup! 🏆☀️ But the action isn’t over yet!👀 Catch us Via @ConnecticutSun on X

What happened: Thursday's game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at Gateway Center on WNBA League Pass. It arrives four days after the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup finished, putting the Atlanta stop next on Connecticut's calendar.

Why it matters: The short break compresses travel and prep as league play resumes. Atlanta also added guard Matilde Villa on a developmental contract this week, giving the Dream a fresh depth piece before tip.

By the numbers: The World Cup ended Sept. 13 with the United States winning its fifth straight and 12th overall title; Sun-Dream is set for Sept. 17, a four-day turnaround.

What to watch: Watch for any rotation adjustments tied to the overseas turnaround and whether Atlanta uses its new guard depth immediately.
