What happened: Phoenix is working through preseason ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Booker enters his 12th season with Phoenix following his new-number debut.

Why it matters: Continuity around Booker sets the baseline for rotation and usage to open the year. His comfort in the new number removes an early-camp adjustment entering the final preseason stretch.

What to watch: Watch final preseason games for rotation clarity before the Oct. 21 opener.
