What happened: Sydney defeated the UC Capitals in their 7 p.m. AEDT Round 2 clash to remain unbeaten through three games of the WNBL27 season. The result follows a home-opening win over the Adelaide Lightning and Jaz Shelley's 34-point Sydney Flames debut.

Why it matters: Michele Timms had tempered expectations entering Round 2 despite the club's 2-0 start. With offseason recruit Issie Bourne on the roster and Damon Lowery already tipping Garlepp for WNBL27 Coach of the Year, the third straight victory solidifies Sydney's early pace at the top of the league.

What to watch: Sydney carries its undefeated mark into the next round of WNBL27 action, while the UC Capitals look to regroup in their upcoming fixture.
