What happened: The Tampa Bay Lightning highlighted their 11-forward, seven-defenseman lineup configuration. The tactical setup operates during the club's ongoing exhibition schedule.

Why it matters: The uneven bench ratio allows coaches to double-shift top forwards while distributing minutes across the blue line. The alignment provides personnel flexibility as the roster finalizes its rotations.

What to watch: Tampa Bay proceeds through the remainder of the 2026-27 preseason calendar.
