What happened: Alex Avila stepped onto the field with an MLB XR headset to walk through Fernando Tatis Jr.'s baserunning from the Wild Card Series. The segment focused on how each read and turn added up over the course of one postseason sequence.

Why it matters: The play already carried October consequences, helping send San Diego to the NLDS. In a short playoff round, one extra base or one clean read can change the shape of a series faster than it would in June.

What to watch: Tatis now heads into the NLDS with his speed and decision-making back in the spotlight. The next round will show whether that edge keeps creating runs beyond the Wild Card stage.
