What happened: Jayson Tatum used a crossover to drop rookie Caleb Wilson, starting for Chicago at Boston on Monday. Officials whistled the action dead before any basket counted.

Why it matters: Wilson opened the night in Chicago's starting five alongside Smith, Buzelis, Powell and Giddey. A whistled-dead crossover keeps the rookie off an early wrong-end highlight against a veteran scorer.

What to watch: Both teams continued Monday's game in Boston with Wilson in the rotation. Tatum remains Boston's lead perimeter scorer.
