Teoscar Hernández leaves game with injury delay in 8th

Score stood 5-4 in bottom of eighth

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated 1h1 min read

What happened: Play was held in the bottom of the eighth with the score 5-4. The delay involved Teoscar Hernández on Oct. 16 during the MLB postseason.

Why it matters: A one-run game in the eighth leaves little margin for lineup or defensive disruption. An enforced change at that point can force a substitution and reshape the remaining at-bats.

By the numbers: Score at delay: trailing side 4, leading side 5, bottom of the eighth.

What to watch: Watch for a team update on his status and any substitution before play resumes.
