What happened: Former Ohio State DT Kayden McDonald, selected No. 36 overall by the Houston Texans, discussed his contributions to charities in Ohio. He stressed that respect off the field matters as much as on it. McDonald is set to join the Texans for the next chapter of his story.

Why it matters: Off-field involvement signals strong character, valued in NFL evaluations. It complements his on-field skills as a second-round pick from Ohio State. Builds positive narrative amid recent draft coverage of his emotional reaction.
