What happened: The Houston Texans ruled out wide receiver Tank Dell as he recovers from a knee injury that cost him the 2025 season. Defensively, the team cleared Azeez Al-Shaair, Will Anderson Jr., and Jadeveon Clowney to play. Six other players, including offensive tackles Aireontae Ersery and Blake Fisher, are listed as questionable.

Why it matters: Getting Al-Shaair, Anderson, and Clowney back bolsters a Houston defense that needs its core playmakers available. Dell's extended absence leaves the Texans leaning on their remaining receiving corps as he works his way back into form.

By the numbers: Al-Shaair made 103 tackles with two interceptions in 16 games during the 2025 season.

What to watch: Monitor the final active roster Sunday to see if any of the six questionable players are cleared.
