What happened: A Thunder spokesperson said rookie big man Aday Mara requires no clearance from his Spanish team to play in the NBA. The determination followed three years of NCAA college basketball and guidance from the league.

Why it matters: The word settles Mara's eligibility and keeps him available for Oklahoma City. It removes an international clearance holdup from his rookie path.

What to watch: Watch whether Mara is active for Oklahoma City's next game.
