What happened: Tim Hardaway Jr. is wearing No. 10 with Miami, bringing his father's familiar Heat number into his first season with the club.

Why it matters: The number gives Miami an immediate family-history tie as Hardaway settles into the roster. It also extends a summer move that began when Hardaway agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Heat in June.

What to watch: The next marker is how Hardaway fits into Miami's preseason rotation once the games begin.
