What happened: Tobe Awaka has been inserted into the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against Memphis. The lineup adjustment was announced shortly before the exhibition matchup.

Why it matters: The promotion gives Awaka an extended look with the first unit after he recently flashed his motor with consecutive offensive putbacks and a made three-pointer as a reserve. The expanded minutes provide a live evaluation of his fit ahead of the regular season.

What to watch: The rotation will continue to be evaluated over the remainder of the preseason schedule.
