What happened: FOX Sports analyst Tom Brady praised Chicago's acquisition of defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons following his first appearance with the team. Simmons debuted in Chicago's 34-17 road victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday after arriving via trade from Tennessee. Brady highlighted the disruption and interior pass-rush presence the defensive tackle provides to the unit.

Why it matters: Chicago stands at 6-2 heading toward the Nov. 10 trade deadline after investing two first-round draft picks to secure the interior lineman. The defensive front gains an established anchor as the club pushes for positioning in the NFC playoff picture. The addition bolsters the front seven following a major draft capital commitment by the front office.

What to watch: The Bears next prepare for their upcoming slate while monitoring additional roster moves ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
