What happened: Assistant coach Tony Dobbins praised Luka Garza for setting an intense tone during team sessions, highlighting his consistent motor in workouts. Dobbins noted that Garza brings the same energy to daily practices that he displays during game action.

Why it matters: Garza is competing for frontcourt minutes after slipping behind in the rotation depth chart earlier this fall. Strong practice execution remains critical for reserve big men seeking steady playing time.

What to watch: Garza will look to translate the coaching staff's praise into expanded court time in upcoming matchups.
