What happened: Karl-Anthony Towns drew his second foul at 8:46 of the first quarter. Andre Drummond checked in to replace him. The whistle came on a three-point attempt on a leg kick.

Why it matters: Two fouls in the opening minutes puts the starting center on a minutes watch for the rest of the half. The early change extends Drummond's rotation run and shifts backup minutes forward.

What to watch: Watch whether Towns sits the rest of the quarter to avoid a third foul before halftime.
