What happened: The approach of Isaias could disrupt the upcoming NASCAR race weekend in Charlotte. The scheduled events feature a public Celebration of Life honoring the late Kyle Busch.

Why it matters: Busch died in May from complications of bacterial pneumonia. Friday's tribute is set to take place following the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, with appearances expected from his family and former competitors. The broader storm system has already prompted emergency declarations across several Southern states.

What to watch: Track officials will continue monitoring the forecast. No formal schedule changes have been announced.
