What happened: Brice Turang hit a tying home run against Tarik Skubal in Game 1 of the NLCS. The drive came on a fastball in Milwaukee to open the series.

Why it matters: The opener sets home-field leverage for the rest of a best-of-seven NLCS. A level score against the opposing starter reshapes bullpen matchups for the late innings.

What to watch: Play continues in Milwaukee with Game 1 still to be decided.
