What happened: Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton addressed his strained relationship with Damian Lillard, admitting he wants to fix their connection. The point guard expressed regret over how his past imitation of a signature celebration fueled the animosity.

Why it matters: The tension replaced a supportive relationship that began early in Haliburton's career. Lillard had previously checked in on the younger player following a trade, making the distance a personal loss for the same Haliburton whose comeback tops the current season outlook.

What to watch: Haliburton indicated he plans to have a private conversation with the Portland Trail Blazers icon to resolve the matter.
