Fred VanVleet goes between the legs for the dime on NBA TV! 🔥 https://t.co/tSmzYyKZpq Via @NBATV on X

What happened: The between-the-legs pass produced an assist in preseason play during his first week back after missing last season with a torn ACL.

Why it matters: Guards returning from long ACL absences are judged first on live playmaking timing. A clean creation in rhythm carries more weight than the highlight itself entering the 2026-27 season.

By the numbers: Return outing: 17 points, 7 assists, 2 steals.

What to watch: Preseason continues with additional backcourt reps before the 2026-27 opener.
