What happened: Veronica Burton accelerated to the rim to finish through contact and draw a foul during the ATL-GSV matchup in the 2026 WNBA Finals. The play unfolded during the championship series of the league's 30th season.

Why it matters: Generating paint touches and free-throw opportunities carries a premium in the championship round as possessions tighten. The rim attack extends a productive postseason for the same Veronica Burton who banked in a deep step-back in earlier playoff action.

What to watch: Action continues in the ATL-GSV 2026 WNBA Finals series on NBC and Peacock.
