What happened: Minnesota brought Brooks back 14 days after his Oct. 6 release. He first joined the practice squad on Oct. 1 before the early-October shuffle.

Why it matters: Practice-squad depth gives Minnesota a ready cornerback elevation option without using an active-roster spot. The quick return keeps continuity in the secondary after the early-October move.

What to watch: The next question is whether the second stint lasts past the coming game week.
