What happened: Unrestricted free agent winger Vladimir Tarasenko ended his working relationship with agent Dan Milstein late in the summer. The veteran forward enters the final stretch of the offseason without representation.

Why it matters: The separation adds turbulence to his ongoing contract search as training camps wrap up. He remains unsigned despite standing out as a capable scoring option deep into the preseason.

What to watch: He continues to skate in Florida while awaiting a new NHL contract.
