Highest defensive grade among CB this season Denzel Ward 89.5 Trent McDuffie 89.1 Isaiah Rodgers Via @PFF on X

What happened: Trent McDuffie ranks second at 89.1, with Isaiah Rodgers third at 85.7. Amik Robertson (84.6) and Mansoor Delane (84.5) complete the top five.

Why it matters: Early-season grades separate every-down coverage from short-sample noise as pass volume rises. Ward's extension ties top pay to top-end production at the position.

By the numbers: Ward 89.5; McDuffie 89.1; Rodgers 85.7; Robertson 84.6; Delane 84.5. Top two separated by 0.4 points.

What to watch: The order will shift with more snaps and tougher matchups ahead.
