Denzel Ward explains some of the differences between Myles Garrett and Jared Verse https://t.co/NBh8ll8loa Via @PFF on X

What happened: Denzel Ward described Jared Verse as a more vocal presence than Myles Garrett. Ward called Garrett a heck of a player while crediting Verse with leading vocally on defense.

Why it matters: Cleveland reshaped its edge rotation around Verse after moving on from Garrett. The defense ranks top five in pressure rate at 44%, up from 37% last season, with Verse still seeking his first sack.

By the numbers: Verse made 58 tackles with 7.5 sacks in 17 games in 2025 with the Rams. Ward made 39 tackles with 1 interception in 15 games in 2025.

What to watch: Watch whether Cleveland's pressure output holds through Week 5. Verse's first sack would give the production a visible marker.
