What happened: Golden State Warriors fans are debating a trade-up from the No. 11 pick to secure Michigan center Aday Mara. The 7'3" prospect is drawing comparisons to elite interior facilitators and is projected by some to be off the board before the Warriors' slot.

Why it matters: With frontcourt depth a priority following a Play-In exit, Mara's 2.4 assists and 2.6 blocks per game at Michigan offer a unique 'passing hub' profile. His fit in Steve Kerr’s system would provide a high-IQ defensive anchor to complement Stephen Curry's window.

By the numbers: Mara averaged 12.1 PPG and 6.8 RPG in 2025-26, ranking 6th in the NCAA in blocks. Golden State holds the No. 11 and No.

What to watch: The Warriors will evaluate trade-up costs as the June 23 NBA Draft approaches.
