What happened: Golden State ran an open scrimmage in Hawaii with Al Horford, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green on the blue side. The session put Horford and Lendeborg into a live camp setting as preseason roles start to take shape.

Why it matters: Those combinations matter as the Warriors sort how much size and playmaking they can keep on the floor together entering the 2026-27 season. Podziemski, who played all 82 games in 2025-26, remains central to that rotation math after last season's durability run.

By the numbers: Podziemski appeared in all 82 games in 2025-26. Horford's Warriors extension became official July 6, and Lendeborg's signing became official July 1.

What to watch: Golden State's next rotation clues will come once camp scrimmages give way to preseason game minutes. How often Horford and Lendeborg share the floor with Green should offer a clearer read on the opening-night frontcourt plan.
