What happened: Golden State said Kristaps Porzingis will remain sidelined indefinitely. He will stay around the team while sidelined.

Why it matters: An indefinite absence keeps Golden State without Porzingis as the 2026-27 season approaches. Remaining with the group keeps him involved during the layoff.

What to watch: The next team update will establish whether a return timeline emerges.
