What happened: The Golden State Warriors guard is trending toward making his regular-season debut Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Center Charles Bassey remains out due to right patellar tendinopathy.

Why it matters: Getting Podziemski back on the floor stabilizes Golden State's backcourt rotation after the team opened the campaign short-handed. Bassey's absence simultaneously leaves the Warriors depleted at the center position entering their first home matchup.

What to watch: Golden State will finalize Podziemski's active status during pregame warmups ahead of Friday's scheduled tipoff against Memphis.
