What happened: Weiss told Rosenthal the directive against Snell is to make him earn everything he gets. Kerr's leash tonight will dictate bullpen coverage with Sale reserved for Game 3 after Thursday's bullpen appearance.

Why it matters: NLDS Game 2 pitching decisions carry extra weight with Sale's rest built around this bridge outing. Driving up Snell's pitch count is the clearest path to reaching the bullpen before the late innings.

What to watch: Watch Kerr's first trip through the order and the first bullpen call for the signal on his leash.
