What happened: The Chicago White Sox navigated out of a two-out, bases-loaded threat in the opening inning. The defense successfully kept the contest against the Cleveland Guardians scoreless despite the early pressure.

Why it matters: Chicago is hosting Game 4 of the American League Division Series with a spot in the League Championship Series on the line. The initial escape prevented an immediate deficit at Rate Field.

What to watch: The lineup now takes its first at-bats in a scoreless tie.
